Mr. Phillips joins Schulman Bhattacharya after clerkships with the Honorable Brynja M. Booth of the Maryland Court of Appeals and the Honorable Stephen H. Kehoe of the Circuit Court for Talbot County. While clerking, Mr. Phillips worked on complex cases in the areas of business and contractual disputes, land use, insurance, bankruptcy, consumer protection, and tort liability.
Mr. Phillips graduated with honors from the George Washington University Law School in 2018, where he was a managing editor of the Journal of Energy and Environmental Law. Mr. Phillips holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Government & Politics and English Literature from the University of Maryland, College Park. He also earned a Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Maryland School of Public Policy in 2015, where his studies focused on environmental policy and international development.
